Beautifully quiet operation, thank goodness cause we had no room in our tiny kitchen so we had to put it in a corner of the dining room. We live in an apartment and the landlord doesn't allow for us to buy our own refrigerator, but we needed the extra freezer space for meat, ice and vegetables. This is perfect, quiet and not bad looking. Its easy to move so that we can clean the floors. Great product, I'd recommend it.

We recently bought this little freezer. It fits neatly under the counter and runs so quietly it makes our 7 yr older fridge/freezer sound like a wheezing dinosaur.
Each drawer sits on it's own freeze plate, so the middle drawers are cooled top and bottom. The average temp is as advertised with the bottom drawer slightly warmer than the others - but still frozen.
We are very happy with our buy.

I got this freezer at my local Kroger believe it or not. It was on sale for 0 and they were running a deal if you bought in Kroger-brand frozen items, they took another off the price of the freezer. At first I was going to just pay the 0 for the freezer and call it a successful day, but then I decided 0 for the freezer AND food was a pretty sweet deal. I had to stash the food in a cooler until the freezer was ready, but it has been nice to have the added space. It is just my husband and I in the house, a bigger family would probably need a bigger unit. This is big enough to allow me to stock up on sale items and it is not so big that I forget what is in it. It sits in our basement, runs quietly and efficiently. It is towards the more efficient end, using 247 kWh/year (range from 185 to 357) which is .40 at 10.65 cents/kWh.

I live in South Louisiana and I keep this freezer under my patio, so it has to deal with some changes in temperature ... plus the humidity. This GE Chest Freezer is the right size for a small-to-medium-sized family; it is very quiet, energy-efficient (annual estimated cost of ) and well-designed. Some may scoff at it not being frost-free but, as one who has to endure power blackouts from storms, this is one of the better features: The ice which forms inside the chest actually helps to keep it insulated and frozen for about one week. I purchased my GE freezer from Sam's Club for 7 and I believe it is a great value. I already have two refrigerator freezers, so this one just offers added freezer space for when my wife and I find bargains, or for storing a boat-load of fresh shrimp. You can't go wrong with this one.
